Brand of The Year, Kopi Kenangan, a non-franchise F&B company with the fastest growing New Retail concept in Indonesia, continues to work on its store expansion strategy in pursuit of expanding the reach and to meet customers’ needs. 

In 2022, Kopi Kenangan has targeted 100 new outlets per quarter, and to achieve this target, on April 18th-24th 2022 (one week period) Kopi Kenangan officially opened 26 outlets at once in 13 different cities in Indonesia. 

For this, Kopi Kenangan succeeded in achieving the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) record as The Most Coffee Outlets Opening in One Week category. Focusing on the development of the local coffee industry while carrying out a vision to make high quality coffee accessible for customers. 

Kopi Kenangan has added its new area coverage portfolio through these 26 new outlets across the cities of Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Bandung, Cirebon, Pasuruan, Sidoarjo, Surabaya, Bali, Pematang Siantar, Banjar Baru, Balikpapan and Purwakarta. 

In addition to opening 26 new Kopi Kenangan outlets in one week, Kenangan Brands, the parent company that oversees Kopi Kenangan, Cerita Roti, Chigo and Kenangan Manis, also opened five new Chigo outlets. Making a total of 30 new outlets within just one week for Kenangan Brands.

Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Kopi Kenangan, explained, “We are beyond grateful for the appreciation and acknowledgment from the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) to Kopi Kenangan. The enthusiasm and demand for Kopi Kenangan certainly motivates us to reach areas we haven’t reached. MURI was founded on January 27, 1990 by the Jamu Jago Group which was initiated by Jaya Suprana, a humanist and a businessman, with the hope that MURI’s existence can inspire the nation in creating world records.
