According to the Sag Harbor Police Department, Timberlake was driving a 2025 BMW and failed to stop at a stop sign. Additionally, he was unable to maintain his lane, prompting a traffic stop around 12:37 a.m. The police report indicates that Timberlake’s eyes were “bloodshot and glassy,” and there was a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. Timberlake allegedly admitted to having “one martini” earlier in the evening.

The arresting officer noted Timberlake’s “slowed speech” and “unsteady” footing during the traffic stop. He also performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests. Despite being asked to take a chemical test three times, Timberlake refused each time, stating, “No, I’m not doing a chemical test.” Subsequently, he was arrested and held overnight in Sag Harbor’s jail before being arraigned.
