Most of the $6.3 billion in cryptocurrency stolen from Binance users has been restored, according to the company’s chief executive. The exchange confirmed that 90 percent of the funds taken in a record-breaking heist have been replaced, and the company intends to cover the remaining 10 percent as well.
Replenishing the Stolen Assets
The CEO stated that Binance is covering the stolen funds directly. The remaining 10 percent of the stolen assets consists of “less liquid” tokens. The company noted that these specific assets may take longer to acquire and restore to user accounts compared to more common cryptocurrencies.

In a post on X, the company outlined its commitment to the financial impact of the incident. “Our commitment remains the same: Binance will fully cover the financial impact of the funds stolen in this incident,” the statement read. The exchange added that it would continue to demonstrate this commitment through “measurable progress, transparent reporting, and concrete actions.”
Withdrawals Set to Resume Sunday
While withdrawals remain paused, Binance is on track to enable them on Sunday, November 1, 2026. The company identified resuming withdrawal services as its next major milestone. “We remain on track to reopen withdrawals within our previously stated timeframe (on Sunday, 2026-11-01) and will provide a further update as soon as details are confirmed,” the post said.

The heist involved the theft of $6.3 billion from customer accounts, marking one of the largest crypto heists in history. The rapid restoration of 90 percent of these funds suggests significant operational capacity within the exchange’s security and recovery teams. The focus now shifts to the final 10 percent and the full reopening of user access to their accounts.
