Companies in France are expanding agentic computing infrastructure across multiple sectors, demonstrating a shift from strategic ambition to practical application. This expansion follows major compute commitments anchored by the AI Action Summit in February 2025 and the Choose France Summits in 2025 and 2026, according to NVIDIA.
The ecosystem now spans the full technology stack, with organizations in space, financial services, the public sector and scientific research integrating advanced AI systems. The pattern across retail, telecommunications and science is consistent: open models and NVIDIA infrastructure are driving measurable results.
Space and Sovereign Infrastructure
Altair-1, the first satellite in a $1 billion constellation of 50 satellites with on-board autonomous capabilities, launched this month and successfully reached orbit. Integrated by Loft Orbital and built by Orbitworks, a joint venture between Loft Orbital and Marlan Space, the satellite utilizes NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin edge modules. These modules run Mistral’s models to enable real-time Earth observation and autonomous operations in orbit.

In the hardware manufacturing sector, Bull is extending its European AI server production to include NVIDIA Vera Rubin Ultra NVL72 systems, which are planned for 2028. The company is producing trays in Europe and handling rack integration at its Angers factory, which was inaugurated on Friday, Oct. 2.
Sovereign data requirements are also being addressed through new frameworks. LINAGORA and Docaposte have secured the CANUT framework agreement, making Twake.ai the sole referenced sovereign digital workplace for more than 2,500 French public organizations. Twake.ai is built on NVIDIA Nemotron open models, which are now in production across French organizations that require trustworthy data handling.
Industry and Financial Applications
In the financial services sector, SBS is launching a sovereign platform in collaboration with NVIDIA. This platform enables banks to deploy governed generative and agentic services within their own environments, ensuring data control while leveraging advanced AI capabilities.

Industrial and retail sectors are seeing significant efficiency gains. L’Oréal is moving cosmetic formulation discovery from bench chemistry to in-silico screening using the open source NVIDIA ALCHEMI Toolkit. The toolkit is now running on L’Oréal’s own GPU cluster, targeting discovery speeds up to 100 times faster than traditional methods.
Mirakl has onboarded more than 70 million products using fine-tuned and open models running on NVIDIA GPUs and inference software. This integration has cut seller catalog onboarding time to under two hours. Other companies like Photoroom and Vestiaire Collective are demonstrating the business impact of advanced visual modeling on marketplace performance.

ThinkDeep and Akila have built a digital-twin agent in Côte-d’Or, powered by NVIDIA Cosmos open world models and Nemotron. This system manages nearly 5,800 kilometers of roads and buildings, cutting total operating costs by 10% and targeting a 30% reduction as deployment progresses. Port Sud de France is also using ThinkDeep’s DeepBrain platform for goods processing and port security.
Telecom, Quantum and Healthcare
Bouygues Telecom and Prisme.ai have launched AI Studio V2, powered by NVIDIA full-stack infrastructure. The platform allows all employees to build their own agents securely and in a controlled environment. In the quantum computing space, Alice & Bob has integrated the NVIDIA NVQLink platform for its superconducting cat qubits, showing how GPUs can make quantum error correction more efficient.
Quandela is using NVQLink to build an integration between a DGX Spark system and its photonic qubits, advancing QPU-GPU supercomputing. Meanwhile, Enchanted Tools, a robotics company headquartered in Paris, is deploying social robots to support patients in healthcare settings, including pediatric cancer care.

Mistral recently introduced Mistral Large 4 under private preview, offering state-of-the-art open weight performance in cyber defense, manufacturing, finance and multimodal tasks. Fondation Inria, with NVIDIA’s support, is launching a working group on open source advanced modeling and tool adoption, with findings expected in the spring of next year.
NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang will present a keynote at GTC Berlin on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. CEST.
