NVIDIA has expanded the software ecosystem for its RTX Spark Windows laptops, introducing new artificial intelligence models and gaming enhancements. The update brings advanced speech processing, specialized foundation models, and improved ray tracing to the thin and light devices. These systems combine an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU and a Grace CPU into a single superchip, offering up to 128GB of unified memory and significant AI performance in a portable form factor.
Nemotron 3.5 and Liquid AI Integration
A central addition to the platform is Nemotron 3.5 Transcribe, an open-weight speech model designed to handle transcription, speaker labeling, and translation in a single step. The model supports 40 languages, including seven Indic languages, and allows developers to use plain-language prompts to guide output. It ranks first on the Hugging Face Open ASR benchmark and second among open-weight models on Artificial Analysis. With approximately 4.3 billion active parameters, it uses 80% fewer parameters than the leading open-weight competitor, making high-accuracy transcription more practical for local hardware.
Developers can deploy Nemotron 3.5 in BF16, FP8, and NVFP4 formats on RTX Spark and DGX Spark systems, as well as on GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs. The update also introduces Liquid AI’s LFM3 family, which includes text, vision, and audio models built on a shared backbone. The new 1.7-billion-parameter base model outperforms its predecessor while remaining compact. These models support local workflows such as inbox triage, calendar management, and document reading through agents like Hermes Agent and OpenClaw.
Resource management has also been refined. Users can now adjust how GPU compute is shared between foreground applications and background agents via the NVIDIA App. This feature requires hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling in Windows settings and allows users to prioritize either application performance or agent processing speed.
Game Enhancements and RTX Remix Updates
Gaming support has been strengthened with the launch of Phantom Blade Zero on Steam and the Epic Games Store. NVIDIA collaborated with S-GAME to add ray-traced effects, including accurate bounced lighting and realistic shadows. The game utilizes DLSS Dynamic Multi Frame Generation to boost frame rates by up to 6x. Additionally, RTX Remix version 1.6 now supports Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1, allowing creators to render the game with DLSS-accelerated path tracing.
The RTX Remix update also brings DLSS 5 with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering to Portal with RTX and the Half-Life 2 RTX demo. These titles now support RTX Spark hardware and include a new Performance Mode for frame generation. A redesigned ComfyUI workflow simplifies AI-powered modding by enabling direct generation of physically based materials within the platform.
Availability for RTX Spark laptops begins at $2,599 from manufacturers including ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI. The devices are available in various designs, with some models as thin as 14mm and weighing as little as three pounds. The unified memory architecture allows creative projects and AI models to draw from the same pool, enabling desktop-class workloads on battery power.
