Epic Games has officially confirmed that the next Fortnite mini-season will feature a crossover with the popular anime series One Piece. The announcement ends weeks of speculation and community rumors regarding the direction of the game’s upcoming content. The mini-season, titled Treasure Hunters, is scheduled to begin on Sunday, November 1, following a brief downtime period for the current Chapter 7 Season 4.
Treasure Hunters Mini-Season Details
The reveal took place after a series of teasers that hinted at an anime-pirate mashup. A short video clip showed the Going Merry, the first ship of the Straw Hat Pirates, emerging from the fog. This visual detail confirms that the collaboration is with the original anime series rather than the live-action Netflix adaptation, as the figurehead on the boat matches the anime design.
Players will have the opportunity to engage in treasure hunting mechanics during this month-long event. The season is expected to last approximately four weeks before a new chapter begins. This structure allows for a focused narrative experience without disrupting the long-term progression of the main game.
Collaboration Skins and Community Reaction
Previous in-game news feed images displayed several pirate crew logos, including recognizable figures like Peely, A$AP Rocky, Hatsune Miku, Kasane Teto, and Lil Uzi Vert. These teasers suggested a mix of existing Fortnite icons and new characters. The official announcement validates the long-standing fan demand for a One Piece integration, which has been one of the most requested collaborations in the game’s history.
The confirmation brings relief to fans who have waited years for this specific crossover. The inclusion of anime-style characters aligns with previous teaser aesthetics, ensuring a cohesive visual theme for the event. Players can expect to see new skins and items inspired by the series as they prepare for the launch.
Fortnite Treasure Hunters begins Sunday, Nov. 1, after downtime. Gamers still have a few days to finish the current Battle Pass and prepare for this exciting new season.
