Air France is expanding its network in the United States with two new destinations set to open in 2027. The carrier will begin service to Nashville, Tennessee, and San Diego, California, from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). The airline also confirmed it will not return to Denver International Airport (DEN) next year.
Nashville Tribute and San Diego Service
Flights to both new cities will depart CDG on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The Nashville route begins on May 14, 2027, while the San Diego service starts on May 3 of the same year. Both routes will operate three times per week.
The Nashville route carries special significance for the airline. The flight number for the Nashville service is AF46. This number honors the birth year of country music icon Dolly Parton, who was born in 1946. Air France made this decision as a tribute to the late singer.
Passengers on both the Nashville and San Diego routes will fly on Airbus A350-900 aircraft. These planes feature business class, premium economy, extra-legroom economy, and standard economy seating options.
Denver Service Ends
While adding new destinations, Air France is reducing its presence in the Rocky Mountain region. The airline will not resume flights to Denver International Airport in 2027. Seasonal flights to Denver, which started in 2021, will conclude on October 10.
An Air France spokesperson stated that capacity previously used for Denver flights will be moved to other routes. The airline emphasized that this shift results in no overall reduction in capacity across the broader region.

United Airlines, which maintains a major hub in Denver, is preparing to fill some of the gap. United will launch new daily flights between Denver and Paris starting May 27, 2027. These flights will use Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Partner Network Updates
Air France works closely with Delta Air Lines under a joint venture that includes KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airways. This partnership allows the carriers to coordinate schedules, fares, and commercial operations between the United States and Europe.
Delta is also expanding its European network in 2027. The airline plans to add at least three new routes. Service from Austin to Paris begins on March 27. Flights from Boston to Venice, Italy, start on May 7. Detroit to Athens, Greece, service launches on June 8.
KLM and Virgin Atlantic have not announced any new U.S. routes for next year. The changes mark a significant shift in Air France’s North American strategy, focusing on specific cultural and coastal hubs while withdrawing from Denver.
