Samsung Electronics has retained its position as the fifth most valuable global brand for the seventh year in a row, according to Interbrand’s annual ranking released Wednesday. The South Korean technology giant recorded a brand value of $105.2 billion, reinforcing its status as the only Asia-based organization to remain in the global top five since 2020.
Financial Growth and AI Hardware Leadership
The ranking reflects strong financial performance and expanding influence in the artificial intelligence sector. Samsung’s Device Solutions division, which manufactures critical components for data centers and consumer electronics, reported continued growth. This expansion was fueled by increased supply of high-value memory products designed to meet surging demand for AI infrastructure.
A key driver of this technological leadership was the industry’s first mass production and commercial shipment of HBM4 memory chips. This advancement in high-bandwidth memory technology supports the processing power required for advanced AI applications, distinguishing Samsung from competitors in the semiconductor market.

Consumer Electronics and the Galaxy Z Fold8
In the consumer electronics segment, Samsung’s DX Division focused on integrating personalized AI experiences across its product lineup, including mobile devices, televisions, and home appliances. A central component of this strategy was the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold8, the eighth generation of its foldable smartphone series.
The new device introduced a distinct 4:3 display aspect ratio and a redesigned form factor intended to redefine the foldable category. Early market feedback indicated that the design resonated particularly well with younger consumers while simultaneously broadening the device’s appeal across different age groups. This strategic shift aims to increase convenience and connectivity in daily life through smarter, more adaptable hardware.

Interbrand evaluates brand value by analyzing a company’s financial performance, the brand’s influence on purchasing decisions, and its overall competitiveness. The consultancy assesses factors such as strategy, empathy, differentiation, customer engagement, consistency, and trust to determine the final ranking. Samsung’s consistent presence in the top five highlights its ability to maintain these metrics despite shifting global economic conditions.
The company’s ability to balance hardware innovation with brand trust has allowed it to sustain high valuation levels. As demand for AI-enabled devices continues to rise, Samsung’s dual focus on component manufacturing and consumer products positions it to maintain its competitive edge in the global market.
