David Corenswet as the Man of Steel

On June 24, David Corenswet, the latest actor to take on the legendary role of Superman, was spotted in downtown Cleveland. The actor looked every bit the part in the classic red-and-blue suit, complete with cape. The scene involved Superman assisting the armed forces at the site of a dramatic crash, hinting at the action-packed sequences we can expect from the film. Corenswet, known for his role in Netflix’s Hollywood, appeared confident and powerful as the new Man of Steel, embodying the hero’s strength and integrity.

Director James Gunn has shared glimpses of Corenswet in the Superman suit before, but these new photos provide a detailed look at the costume in action. The bright, vibrant colors of the suit pay homage to the classic Superman look, drawing inspiration from Christopher Reeve’s portrayal. This fresh yet nostalgic design is sure to delight longtime fans and new audiences alike.

    Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane

Emmy-winning actress Rachel Brosnahan, best known for her role in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, has been cast as Lois Lane. Brosnahan was spotted on set in Cleveland, walking under the cover of umbrellas to keep her costume a surprise. However, fans were thrilled to catch glimpses of her iconic purple attire as she emerged from a vessel alongside Wendell Pierce, who plays Perry White, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet.

Brosnahan’s casting as Lois Lane was confirmed by director James Gunn last year, and these set photos offer the first real look at her portrayal. Known for her dynamic performances and strong screen presence, Brosnahan is expected to bring a fresh energy and depth to the character of Lois Lane.

    Introducing Mister Terrific

In addition to Corenswet and Brosnahan, the set photos also revealed Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific. Gathegi, known for his roles in X-Men: First Class and The Blacklist, was seen in a costume that closely mirrors his comic book counterpart, complete with a black mask and a stylish black, red, and white jacket. Mister Terrific, a member of the Justice Society of America, is known for his intelligence and athleticism, adding an exciting new dynamic to the film.

Behind the Scenes with James Gunn

Director James Gunn, who is also known for his work on Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad, was spotted on set meticulously overseeing the action. Gunn’s vision for Superman: Legacy aims to reboot the franchise with a focus on a younger Superman, exploring his early days in Metropolis. The film is set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025, and promises to be a cornerstone of the new DC Cinematic Universe.

The ensemble cast of Superman: Legacy includes a host of talented actors. Alongside Corenswet and Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult will take on the role of the villainous Lex Luthor, while Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, and Anthony Carrigan are set to portray key characters from the DC Universe. With such a talented lineup and James Gunn at the helm, Superman: Legacy is poised to be a spectacular addition to the superhero genre.

With David Corenswet donning the iconic red-and-blue suit and Rachel Brosnahan stepping into the role of Lois Lane, the film is shaping up to be a thrilling new chapter in the Superman saga.
