Apple has updated its subscription pricing across several services, including increases for Apple Music and Apple TV. These changes have pushed the cost of the Apple One Family Plan to $28 per month. Despite the price hike, the bundle remains a cost-effective option for households or groups of friends who want to share multiple services.
Apple One Family Plan costs and inclusions
The Family tier is designed for up to six people. At $28 a month, subscribers receive access to Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, and a shared 200GB pool of iCloud storage. This storage limit is significantly higher than the 50GB included in the Individual plan.
When broken down by user, the cost is quite low. If six people split the bill, each person pays less than $5 per month. Apple does not require family members to live in the same household to share the subscription. This flexibility allows users to group with friends or distant relatives.
For those who need more storage and additional content, the Premier tier is available for $40 a month. This top-tier plan includes everything in the Family plan, plus Apple Fitness+, Apple News+, and 2TB of iCloud storage. The Premier plan offers roughly $35 in monthly savings compared to subscribing to each service individually.
How the bundle compares to individual subscriptions
Apple recently raised prices on its standalone services. Apple Music individual plans increased by $1 per month, while Apple TV subscriptions rose from $13 to $15 monthly. The Individual Apple One plan also saw a price increase, moving from $20 to $22 per month.

Even with these increases, bundling services through Apple One is cheaper than subscribing separately. The Individual plan saves users about $13 monthly compared to buying Apple Music and Apple TV on their own. The Family plan saves approximately $17 per month when compared to the combined cost of the individual services.
Users who already subscribe to iCloud+ or other Apple services can switch to Apple One without losing data. If a user has an iCloud+ plan with less storage than their new Apple One tier, the old plan is canceled, and they receive a pro-rated refund. If the existing iCloud+ plan has more storage, it remains active alongside the Apple One storage.
Apple One makes the most sense for users who plan to use multiple services. If a household only needs Apple Arcade, they might be better off paying $7 a month for that service alone and sharing it via Family Sharing. However, for users who regularly use music, video, gaming, and cloud storage, the bundle provides significant value.
