The Airbus A380 remains a dominant presence in global aviation despite the end of its production run. For aviation enthusiasts and travelers, identifying the best locations to observe the Superjumbo requires looking at recent flight data. A review of movements between October 5 and November 3, 2026, reveals the airports with the highest concentration of these large aircraft.

The data tracks 14,140 total movements, representing 7,070 individual flights. This snapshot highlights where the aircraft continues to operate with significant frequency and variety.

Dubai International Leads Global A380 Activity

Dubai International Airport (DXB) stands as the undisputed center for Airbus A380 operations. The airport recorded 4,285 flights during the one-month period, a figure that dwarfs all other locations. This volume reflects the facility’s role as the primary hub for Emirates, which maintains an extensive fleet of the type.

Unlike other major hubs that host multiple carriers, Dubai’s activity is overwhelmingly dominated by a single airline. Emirates deploys its Superjumbos on routes connecting the UAE to destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and Australia. The airline’s strategy relies on high-capacity aircraft to move large numbers of passengers through its connecting network.

London Heathrow and Singapore Changi Follow

London Heathrow Airport (LHR) recorded 1,162 flights, placing it second in the rankings. Heathrow offers significant variety for spotters, with six different airlines operating the aircraft to and from the UK. These carriers include British Airways, Qantas, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Etihad Airways.

British Airways operates 12 A380s, making it the joint-second largest operator globally alongside Singapore Airlines. The UK flag carrier uses the aircraft on long-haul routes to Miami, San Francisco, and Singapore. Emirates also maintains multiple daily frequencies at Heathrow, ensuring a constant stream of Superjumbo movements.

Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) recorded 895 flights. As the launch operator of the A380 in 2007, Singapore Airlines continues to deploy the aircraft on its long-haul network. British Airways, Qantas, and Emirates also serve the airport, contributing to its status as a key destination for tourism and business transit.

Other Key Hubs for Superjumbo Sightings

Several other airports provide regular opportunities to spot the Airbus A380. Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) recorded 628 flights, with operators including Asiana Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Qantas, and Emirates. Qantas maintains a strong presence at its Australian headquarters, offering enthusiasts a chance to view different aircraft configurations.

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) saw 356 flights. The airport hosts five operators, including Asiana Airlines, Etihad Airways, Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Lufthansa. This variety makes it an attractive alternative to Dubai for those seeking to see multiple liveries.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) recorded 342 flights, making it a leading US destination for the aircraft. Six airlines serve LAX with the A380, including Asiana Airlines, British Airways, Qantas, Korean Air, Emirates, and Lufthansa. The airport’s extensive long-haul connections sustain this high level of activity.

Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport (CDG) recorded 333 flights. Operators include Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Etihad Airways. Air France previously operated a fleet of 10 A380s but retired the type during the pandemic, leaving Gulf carriers to maintain the aircraft’s presence in the French capital.

New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) saw 284 flights. Services are operated by Korean Air, Emirates, and Asiana Airlines, reflecting continued demand for high-capacity services between the US and overseas destinations.

Manchester Airport (MAN) recorded 167 flights. Emirates is the sole operator at the UK airport, providing a regular Superjumbo presence for spotters in northern England. Other destinations such as Birmingham, Prague, Denpasar, and Christchurch also see daily or frequent A380 services, demonstrating the aircraft’s reach beyond major global hubs.
