Emirates Launches Daily A350 Service to Orlando

Emirates has officially begun operating the Airbus A350-900 to the United States for the first time. The carrier launched the new service on November 1, deploying the aircraft on the route between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Orlando International Airport (MCO). This move marks a significant shift in the airline’s North American fleet strategy, replacing the Boeing 777-300ER with the more modern twinjet.

Increased Frequency and New Cabin Configuration

The introduction of the A350-900 allows Emirates to increase the number of flights on this route from sub-daily to a daily schedule. This is the first time the airline has offered daily service to Orlando since 2018. The switch also brings a change in the onboard experience. The A350 features Emirates’ latest hard product across all classes, but it does not include a first class cabin. This means passengers traveling between Dubai and Orlando will now fly in business and economy class only.

The decision to remove first class aligns with recent trends on the route. Data from Cirium Diio shows that first class seats were unavailable on four of the past eleven months. This inconsistency often occurred when the smaller Boeing 777-200LR was used, suggesting that the demand for first class on this specific route has been limited. The new 298-seat A350 configuration provides a more consistent product for travelers.

    Orlando’s Role in Emirates’ Network

Orlando has been a key destination for Emirates for over a decade. The airline launched its first flight to the city in September 2015 using the Airbus A380. Since then, the carrier has experimented with different aircraft types, including the Boeing 777-200LR and the 777-300ER. The current A350 service represents the latest step in optimizing this route.

Passenger data for the twelve months leading up to July 2026 indicates that approximately 70% of travelers on the Orlando route were connecting through Dubai to other destinations. The largest market for these connections was India. The top ten city pairs for the route included Orlando to Mumbai, Manila, Bali, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Johannesburg, Delhi, Jakarta, Chennai, and Bangkok. This high percentage of connecting traffic highlights the importance of the route in Emirates’ global network.

The A350-900 is the second aircraft type to serve North America for Emirates. The carrier previously introduced the A350 to Montreal in January 2026. With the addition of Orlando, Emirates now operates flights to fourteen airports in the United States and Canada. Most of these routes are served daily, with the exception of New York JFK, which has three daily flights. The airline continues to use a mix of aircraft types across its North American network, including the Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 777-200LR, and Airbus A380.
