Samsung is set to release its first pair of clip-on wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds On, on October 27. The launch is currently limited to South Korea, where the device will be available in black for 299,000 won, which is approximately $226. This release marks a significant shift in the company’s audio strategy, moving away from traditional in-ear designs toward an open-ear form factor.
Clip-On Design and Features
The Galaxy Buds On utilize a flexible material that clips around the outer ear rather than inserting into the ear canal. This open-ear architecture allows users to listen to audio while remaining aware of their surroundings. Samsung has equipped the earbuds with TwinBoost speakers to enhance bass response and includes technology designed to minimize sound leakage for bystanders.
For users with compatible Samsung Galaxy devices, the earbuds integrate with Galaxy AI features. These include the ability to answer incoming calls with a simple nod and the option to record voice memos without needing to retrieve a smartphone. The design prioritizes comfort and security during movement, targeting scenarios such as commuting or exercising where situational awareness is important.

Global Availability and Pricing
While the official launch is restricted to South Korea for now, indicators suggest an international rollout may be close. Data from leaker SammyGuru shows the Galaxy Buds On appearing on European retail websites. Listings in Switzerland show prices ranging from 179 to 199 Swiss francs, equivalent to roughly $216 to $241. These retailer listings are not official confirmations from Samsung, but they provide a strong signal for global pricing expectations.
South Korean buyers who purchase the earbuds by November 30 will receive two discount coupons. These coupons offer 30% off Galaxy Buds accessories and are valid until December 20. The company has not yet announced a specific date for the global release, leaving international consumers to wait for further official communication.
