Razer has officially introduced the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition, a specialized gamepad designed for the PlayStation 5. The device stands out with a transparent design that exposes the internal components, a trend that has gained popularity in consumer electronics. The exterior features a black magnesium alloy exoskeleton and a large PlayStation button on the faceplate.
Transparent Design and Premium Build
The controller weighs 260 grams, making it lighter than the standard DualSense gamepad. Razer applied a nano coating to the internal parts to protect against dust and debris. The touchpad is semi-transparent and made from laser-etched glass. The company states that the open-shell design allows users to see the circuitry and mechanical parts inside the device.
The package includes a leatherette carrying case, a wireless dongle, tools for maintenance, and extra thumbstick caps. Razer also included covers for the back buttons. The company has not disclosed the price for this specific edition.
High-Speed Connectivity and Controls
Despite the PlayStation branding, the controller supports PC gaming with a 2,000Hz HyperPolling wireless rate. This allows the device to send data to a computer 2,000 times per second. The controller uses contactless TMR thumbsticks to improve aiming accuracy. It features six mappable buttons, including two claw-grip bumpers and four mouse-click back buttons. These buttons are made from polybutylene terephthalate, a rigid plastic known for durability.
Only 1,337 units will be produced. The number references leetspeak, a style of writing that uses numbers to replace letters. The controller will be available on November 10.
