NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman will take the controls of an F-5 fighter jet for a flyover at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The flight is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11, to mark the start of the New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns game. Isaacman will lead a formation of three jets as part of the agency’s Inspiration Tour.
Isaacman Pilots Jets at MetLife Stadium
The flyover serves as the kickoff event for the Inspiration Tour, a nationwide initiative designed to connect NASA with academic, industry, and public sector stakeholders. The tour aims to highlight the people and technologies driving American leadership in space. Isaacman’s participation underscores the agency’s effort to engage directly with the public through high-profile events.
Before the game, NASA team members will set up an Experience Zone at the Jets Tailgate Zone outside the stadium. The area will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT. Visitors can explore an Artemis dome to learn about the agency’s plans to return humans to the Moon. The zone will also feature interactive games and a large, inflatable model of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket for photos.
MAX POWER Exposition in Florida
The MetLife Stadium event is just one stop on the Inspiration Tour. The tour will conclude with MAX POWER, a public exposition held on and near Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This two-day event takes place on Saturday, Nov. 7, and Sunday, Nov. 8.

MAX POWER is held in honor of America’s 250th anniversary. The exposition will showcase next-generation aircraft, spacecraft, and autonomous vehicles. It aims to demonstrate the technologies that will define the future of air and space transportation. The event is family-friendly and open to the public.
Isaacman will be available for limited media interviews during the game. Members of the press can arrange interviews by contacting Camille Gallo at camille.m.gallo@nasa.gov or 202-531-8057. Additional information about the agency’s missions and the MAX POWER event is available on the NASA website.
