Meta has officially launched Muse, its personal artificial intelligence agent, in Singapore. This release marks the first international rollout of the technology following a global announcement earlier this year. The service is designed to integrate with applications that users already rely on, aiming to simplify routine digital interactions.
Users can access Muse on iOS and Android devices, as well as through the muse.ai web platform. A version for AI glasses is scheduled for release in the near future. The core service remains free for most standard functions, while advanced capabilities are available through paid subscription tiers.
Local App Integrations in Singapore
A primary feature of the Singapore launch is the integration with popular regional services. Early partners include Shopee, Grab, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, ShopBack, Klook, Trip.com, and Lazada. These connections allow the agent to assist with shopping, grocery delivery, dining reservations, and travel planning.
According to Meta, the agent can research products and compare prices before a purchase is made on platforms like Shopee or Lazada. It also supports planning grocery runs via GrabMart and booking meals through Grab Dine Out. Travelers can use the tool to explore ticketing and reservation options across Singapore Airlines, Agoda, Klook, and Trip.com. Additionally, users can earn cashback on travel and shopping deals or claim in-store dining offers through ShopBack.
Connector features will be introduced progressively. Some specific experiences within these partner apps may become available after the initial launch date.
Security and Data Protection
Meta states that significant engineering effort was dedicated to the security architecture of Muse. The agent operates within a dedicated cloud environment called the Muse Secure VM. This setup stores user data and credentials separately from the agent itself.
Passwords and payment information are kept out of the agent’s direct view. Users retain control over which services the agent can access. The system requires explicit user confirmation before performing sensitive actions, such as sending emails or completing purchases.
Nicole Tan, Managing Director of Meta Singapore, described the tool as a personal agent built to make everyday life easier. She noted that connecting Muse with iconic regional brands allows users to get things done with services they already use and love.
